The Scarlet Letter

So if any of you guys have ever read "The Scarlet Letter", you will know what I am talking about very well. In today's society, I believe things would be much more balanced if everybody had to go around with a letter of some sort for telling the sin/crime they had committed. It is my belief that people judge others on the things they have done to cover up for their own guilty conscience. Imagine how much more peaceful things would be around towns if people had to go around with big letters embroidered on their blouses and jackets. M = Murderer. A = Adulterer. CL= Compulsive Liar. S = Stealer. And so on down the line. Sure, it would be very embarassing and may hurt some self-esteem for a while, but as every one's secrets got released, people would get used to it and eventually feel content. no one would be able to judge another because they, themselves, would have a reminder standing bright and true on their chest.
It's just a thought I had and felt the need to share it. If you have not read "The Scarlet Letter", I highly suggest getting it to read if even in your spare, to non-existant, time.
